kites

We flew kites today. Hannah has one of those triangle ones that she got for her birthday last year. The other two didnt have kites, and when we were grocery shopping the other day they found these 99cent old school diamond kites. I took them out of their package, and lets just say its been a while since I put one of those together:)
They had these tiny little tails that I knew werent going to cut it, and to get them to fly well I ended up with about 15 feet of ripped up old dress on one, and bunch of ribbon stuff that Angie found on the other.
We were just getting them to fly decent when the wind just STOPPED. Hannahs kite, which flys with very little wind, just slowly floated almost straight down, and the others dropped like a rock. It was strange. Im sure we wont have to wait long for more wind, this is Nebraska after all:)

I used to love flying kites with my Dad and Brother. It was a great way for the family to bond together. I can't wait to meet you in person. God Bless You Curt
