Hello to ALL!
I have been taking a few photos and thought that I might share a few with all that care. If not then delete works nicely also. I thought it may give you some idea of the conditions over here. Then again maybe not as most of them have my ugly mug in them. I haven’t had much luck sending them in the past but I will continue trying. Their not very descriptive but I do what I can and I hope you enjoy them. Thinking of you all and praying that we are home in December. Thanks for all the letters and for staying in touch!
Hello again
After sending pictures the other day, I had the privilege of visiting one of Saddam’s palaces. It’s located just a stone throw away from Baghdad and it was very impressive. I have never seen a bigger chandelier in my life. All the marble must keep the place cool because it was hot out and didn’t notice it inside at all. It is surrounded by water and has several smaller little islands with, what looks to be other living or smaller stone buildings. The guys that are with me are from my company and we got pretty lucky to get in that day. The military does use the facilities but I’m unable to say for what. The whole experience was quite overwhelming and very impressive. I’m sorry the pictures really don’t do it much justice but once again I really just want to share. Have a great week!!
