Surprise!
Angie's mom setup a surprise birthday party for her. It was fun! We had planned to go over to Mom and Dads for supper to celebrate, but Angie was definately surprised to see a whole group of our friends show up right after dinner! The look on her face was priceless! We had a great time.

FREEDOM!
Today is my 2nd day of what I feel is freedom. Ive always been an enrepreneurially(say that fast 7 times) minded person, its in my family's blood. Jobs have been good to me and helped when I just needed to pay the bills, but during those times I was always planning to go on my own, doing what I loved to do.
For some this sounds incredibly scary Im sure, the security of relying on someone else to provide you with work, and depending on them to pay you, but for me, staying in a job can be just as scary or worse. Those people that have relied on the big 3 auto manufacturers for everything are now out in the cold. Ive been through something similar, where my boss came to us one day and said he was closing shop, and we needed to find something else in the next 3 weeks. I could have pannicked, but I had already been talking with my dad about partnering up with him. I now had a good reason to do so:), and the Lord was working in what couldve been terrible circumstances.
My point is this: Dont put your trust in your job, because it may not be there tomorrow. Consider what you would do if you lost your job. Have a plan.
Jesus Christ is the only one that can be depended on completely. I know from experience. The Lord has NEVER let me down, even sometimes when I wasnt relying on Him.
When I was in College there was a Christian band called the "Dime Store Prophets", and one of their songs has this line:
"Faith is an ocean you can walk on"
God wants us to rely on Him COMPLETELY, and that requires stepping out of what we see as our "boat". It may be a job, our bank account, our insurance policys, our parents, whatever. We need to step out of the boat daily, and walk toward JESUS.
Matthew 14:27-29
But immediately Jesus spoke to them saying, "Take courage, it is I; do not be afraid." And Peter answered Him and said,"Lord, if it is You, command me to come to You on the water." And He said, "COME!" And Peter got out of the boat, and walked on the water and came toward Jesus.
